December 2, 2013 Christmas chaos!
The more I am out here the harder time I have recalling what I did yesterday let a lone from 5 days ago. Lets see.. Well we went on Exchanges this week. I love exchanges. Its just a nice reminder that you are doing what you are supposed to and working hard. We didn't see any giant miracles happen that night, but I was grateful for the experiences we had talking to good people with Christian beliefs even though they weren't interested. We have had this giant push in our mission for missionary work and increasing our numbers. It has definitely been a test of faith. We have so limited time in our area because of the Visitors Center schedule and we are working hard. Linda is getting baptized this week which we are so excited for!! But we are going to have to drop two of our investigators who have been taught a lot, but one just cant seem to make the step to come to church and isn't progressing and the other has been taught everything he just has to make some life style changes and isn't quite ready to do that so we have to drop them. I believe if we drop in Faith God will bless us with more opportunities to find, teach, and baptize his children who are prepared and willing to change and receive these blessings in their lives. Thanksgiving was a great day even though we didn't have time in our area. We had Visitor Center Training, District meeting, Thanksgiving dinner, and a night working in the almost dead VC. It was fun thought to have the 20 of us sisters gathered around one giant table in the Break room. We looked like sardines packed in there. We went around the table and shared what we were grateful for. It was a great day to be reminded of the many blessings God has given us!
The Visitors Center has become a new zoo... The Christmas Chaos has begun!!! Last night we had over 1000 people come in. So many people were coming in the doors at once you couldn't seem to count them all! So we have assigned areas for each hour that we are in the Visitors Center and we pretty much give really shortened tours slash try to talk with as many people as possible. But last night with all the Chaos what was the best was so many people are remembering the Christmas spirit and having a desire to share with their friends and family members. I got 10 referrals within two hours and at least two of those were self referrals that were non members! It was awesome! I am excited to call them in the teaching Center and teach them.. If we get some time in there and its stops being so busy! Naw I love it. It is a good good change to have this place busy again!
We weren't able to meet with our new investigator Darla because she was out of town, but we are meeting with her this week on Wednesday! We are excited and are planning to set a date. So keep us in your prayers!
