"Her de-capitated state... and the nonsensical things I say when sister Cole keeps me up"
HOLA mi famila y amigos!! fue un tan gran sorpresa a ver mi querida abuelita y mi papi!
Well this week was once again... fantastic!!! It was TRANSFER WEEK! and my first real ... well sorta real transfer since I have a new companion- Sister Cole. Some things you should know about sister Cole- She is from Phoenix, Arizona, but grew up in SLC Utah. She was going to BYU before her mission and this is her last transfer on the mission... so I will be killing her.... Missionary lingo is weird... anyway I LOVE Her! I think at the end of my mission I wont be able to say who my favorite companion was because you find such great things about each one... guaranteed I am saying this with my second companion in the field haha. But really sister Cole and I have so much, she is an INCREDIBLE teacher... she says its because she has been out almost 18 months, but I think really its just her. She is slightly crazy, but who isn't these days? And as you cant tell from the title of this letter... we laugh a lot. I was trying to say incapacitated, but it came out de-capitated...
Well this week we had some really neat experiences! 1st off we made a Gangster cry!!! We knocked on his door and began talking with him and We talked with him we began to testify of Gods love for him and he began to cry... We are all the same deep down I think... Children of God and we need his love. the house he was at was his cousins and he lived out of our area, but it was a really great experience!
Another great experience was the lesson we had with Odilia and her 3 daughters. It was a testimony to me of Gods timing and hand in our lives. So we had a lunch appointment with Francisca our member, but she was running late and then the lesson we had with her went over... It was about 2 o clock (our appointment with Odilia was supposed to be at 2) and I began to feel antsy like we needed to leave, but suddenly I felt very calm and felt I needed to stay and listen to Francisca. We left her house about 10 after and got to Odilias 20 minutes late and when we got there she wasnt there and we walked away disappointed, but as we were leaving she entered the apartment complex and told us to come on in. It was probably one of the fastest lessons we have had, but such a great one! The mom cried in the lesson when she heard her daughter (who is 16) just wants her family to be happy, stay together, and be safe. They committed to read the Book of Mormon, pray as a family, and to be baptized on June 30th! The mom also offered a beautiful closing prayer! We walked out of the lesson a little dazed an humbled. Imagine if our lunch appointment hadn't been late we would have completely missed that opportunity The lords timing is definitely better than our own!
Well I am excited for this transfer with Sister Cole! and the new opportunities God has in store! I am learning everyday that Gods way is the Only way and I find joy in it no matter what comes my way. Trust in the Lord and everything will work out... It may not be perfect or how we expect it, but it is always what we need and it always turns out for the better! Oh and we went to the temple today! What a blessing it is to have a temple in my mission! I get to go 6 times on the mission! Well I love you all and you are in my prayers! Thank you for all the support!
