MAY 28, 2013 - "CRAZY CALLS!!!"
Hola mi Familia!!!! This week has been crazy!!! We planned a baptism in one week and got it all together and it went fantastic! Kelly'd Dad was able to baptize her and 3 times no less! Sister Stevens and I gave the talks- I did one on the Holy Ghost and I think that is the first time I have talked in front of a large group of people with out reading from the Talk I prepared and in Spanish too! It was a relief to have the stress of the baptism over, but I am mainly just so happy for them- They are such an incredible family and I feel so humbled to have been apart of their journey.
So this week we have met 3 times with our investigator Daniel (part member family) He is GOLDEN! He has such a sincere desire to follow Christ and to change and repent! He is coming to church and keeping his commitments all they have to do is get married so hopefully we will get that underway sooner than later:)
So the Big CALLS! TRANSFER WEEK!
On Wednesday we get the first call... Announcing who will be training. My heart was pounding so hard I didn't want it to be me because if I were to be training I would have to leave San Vicente and I am not ready to leave these people- So good news it wasn't Sister Stevens will be training a newbie coming in. Then last night we got the Call... It didn't come till 10- I was going crazy! I thought I have been doing pretty good at being patient.. nope all down the drain in those two hours! Sister Stevens is going full field so I won't see her every day:( I have loved being her companion! We figured we wouldn't be together anymore because we have already been together 3 transfers. She is going to open a new area (white wash) and be serving in Spanish! and Me... Well I am STAYING! yay:) and my new companion will be.... SISTER COLE!!! (Kiersten(spelling) Cole!) (She was roommates with Goldie my friend from Oakcrest:) ) Anyway it is her last transfer so I will be Killing her (missionary Lingo is weird) When we got the call I screamed I was so excited! The week before we all make guesses of who will be with who in the VC and I said I think Sister Cole should come be my companion (She was serving full field at the time so people didn't think she would come back to the VC) and guess what I was right! yay! I love sister Cole and I am hoping because she will leave after this next transfer that they will keep me longer in San Vicente to train new people coming in- who knows maybe I will train 3trees from Oakcrest (sister Forbush!) I am very excited and Happy! I am going to miss Sister Stevens a ton- I cant even begin to write all the things I have learned from her and not to mention all the crazy fun times we have had. I love her so much! Change is inevitable though- So I am looking for the new growth and opportunities!
God truly has a plan for each of us and He is mindful of us at all times! Oh and we saw EPY! She has been struggling with her situation, but wants to start meeting again! yay:) She said she has been focusing on the negative and chaos... we discussed if she noticed a difference between now and when she was meeting with us- she said a definite yes... that she was able to handle things better, had a better perspective, felt more peace, and was happier. I know that as we focus on the Lord and do the small and simple things he has asked of us he will bless us and we will be happier. :) I Love you all! Thank you for your prayers and support!
